Paphiopedilum macranthum

Grows well outdoors in a well drained medium with some moisture retentive element.   Needs shady location under trees with low branches or shrubs avoiding direct sunlight.   Does not enjoy being waterlogged.  Also needs air movement.   Avoid heavy frosts by lifting and removing to a frost free environment at such times.  Perhaps best to place in a pot – then submerge the pot into the ground.
