	From Celia Wright on 20th March 2020 Calanthe Kozu grex As a grower of hardy orchids - mainly outside in the garden - I don't have orchids in flower yet. The first will be the few potted Calanthes - a mixture of species and hybrids - that I keep in my unheated greenhouse. Over the last two weeks they have put up flowering spikes, so today I decided to tidy them up. They really needed it with scruffy leaves from last season still attached as in the first photo.
	From Celia Wright on 20th March 2020 Calanthe Kozu grex After I'd cleaned the plant and given it some fertiliser and new topdressing of compost it liked much better (photo 2) and I counted 13 spikes in the 3 litre pot, at least 9 of which are certain to flower.
